Take note of the following changes for parking and streets during next week’s Freestone County Fair, held Monday, June 13th thru Saturday, June 18th.
–Oak Street (South from Highway 84 to Eagle Crossing) will be a one-way road every night of Fair Week from 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight.
–NO Parking will be allowed on the side streets of Reunion or Oak between the hours of 6:00 p.m. – 12 midnight during Fair Week.
–For safety, fairgoers are also asked NOT to park on Highway 84, and not to park at the tennis courts. Please be aware that the soccer fields will be closed off for a Juneteenth event.
–County Fair parking is available at the fairgrounds, the rodeo arena, near the walking trail, and by the sandlots (baseball fields). Overflow parking will also be made available at the Fairfield ISD school grounds and at Eagle Field.
–Parade Detour: Due to TxDOT bridge repairs at FM 1580 on Post Oak Rd, the detour route will be South 75 from Hwy 84 to FM 489 in Dew. Take a left at the blinking red light in Dew and follow FM 489 East back to Hwy 84 in Butler. Residents on the East side of the county will know how to use the county roads off of FM 489 to get to your destination. Visitors, Semi’s, and others are recommended to remain on FM 489 all the way back to East Hwy 84.
