It has been a while since I wrote a column. Life sometimes closes doors because of too many things happening. So, here I am again typing at 12:34 AM trying to get an article in the paper!. We have two new puppies (Beagles of course) and have been trying to corral them and get everything else done also. We have Cherokee and Hawk that are packed full of energy. I am not sure but I believe that The Colonel has decided these will be the last Beagles for us. They are sweet (especially if you have a pair of gauntlets on your arms. I have some scratch marks on my arms that are healing since I happened to remember that I have a pair of gauntlets that will handle everything!

The weather has been trying to make up its mind and it is actually really cold in this big ole house in the early morning. The birds are still flying around and landing in weird places like on top of the A/C. This is going to be a beautiful Fall I believe. The Sweetgum Grove is in need of some tender loving care. One of the very large tree left a very large half of a branch in the road at the bend coming out of the Grove. What happened is the limb broke and part of it fell in a pocket of another limb, plus it is standing on what looks like two (2) little legs. It is hard to get through that area, but we manage. Our kids are helping out with doing things that we need done and we are so appreciative. They have jobs that they need to do at their homes and places of employment too.

It is late and I am tired. So, I am going to close for this round but will see y’all again next week with the Reflections from Red Oak Ranch.
