The final date to pay water bills this month was October 20, 2023, by 4:30 PM to avoid disconnection. All bills not paid will be subject to termination and a $20.00 reconnection fee.

The upcoming fees for the 2023-2024 fiscal year were voted on and approved by the Board of Aldermen on September 28, 2023. All fees within the 2023-2024 fee schedule went into effect on October 1, 2023. This will be reflected in the bills that are to be mailed out at the end of this month and due on November 10, 2023.

Customers can expect to see a %7.5 increase in trash charges.

Trash charges are now $20.16 for the initial polycart, and $5.38 for each additional cart, not to exceed three carts in total at a residence or business. For the price increases on dumpsters, please call the office.

Water charges will remain at $25.00 for the first 0-2000 gallons, and $5.08 for every 1000 gallons after the initial 2000. Residential sewer will now be $25.00 for the first 0-2000 gallons and $4.10 for every 1000 gallons after the initial 2000.

The minimum bill an in-city residential customer with water, sewer, and trash will receive will be about $72.82. This is price is for the first 0-2000 gallons and may incur a water production fee up to $0.04 per thousand gallons.

The pricing for dump passes has also changed. Customers may receive one free trash pass and three free brush passes per billing cycle for a truck or single-axle trailer. Each additional pass will be $10.00. All two-axle trailer passes are $25.00.
