The Freestone and Leon County offices of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting a workshop focused on developing lease agreements for property use. This workshop will be held via the Zoom platform on Tuesday, April 20, from 6-7 pm.
The speaker for this program will be Tiffany Dowell Lashmet. Mrs. Lashmet is an Agricultural Law Specialist with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Topics that will be covered during this presentation will include the different types of agricultural and wildlife lease agreements, what needs to be included in a lease agreement, and negotiating a fair cash lease rate. Copies of sample lease agreements will also be provided to program participants.
