Crockett Resource Center for Independent Living’s (CRCIL) Independent Living (IL) Services Program helps people with disabilities achieve greater independence in the home and community. Eligibility criteria for this program requires that the applicant has a significant disability who has been diagnosed by a licensed practitioner and resides in Texas.

If you are a person under the age of 55 with a vision disability and need vision services to maintain your independent living, you could be eligible for the following:

–Vision Aids

–Video Magnification Devices

–Non-Prescription Optical Devices

–Independent Living Skills Training

–Orientation and Mobility Training

–Computer Equipment

CRCIL’s IL Services Program area includes Freestone, Leon, and Anderson counties.

Also includes the counties of Angelina, Bowie, Brazos, Burleson, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Fannin, Franklin, Gregg, Grimes, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Madison, Marion, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Polk, Raines, Red River, Robertson, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Van Zandt, Walker, Washington, and Wood.
