Heavy rains last week led to two high water rescues on Freestone County on Monday, November 12, 2018.

Dew and Teague Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a scene on the I-45 Service Road, where there were reports of a motorist stranded in high water with moderate current. Crews successfully rescued the lone occupant who was sitting on top of vehicle when crews arrived.

Later that day, Teague VFD responded to a call where two vehicles were reported to be under water at the rail-road underpass on Highway 84, just west of Teague. The crew rescued all occupants and got them to safety.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
