Filing opens for candidates this week to add their names to the ballot for School and City elections this May. The filing period for both is January 16th through February 16th, 2019.
The following positions are up for election this year:

Fairfield (903-389-2532) – 3 Places at Large (Tracie Ezell, Kim Whitaker, and Greg Gibson).
Teague (254-739-1300) – Place 2 (Brian Bowers) and Place 4 (Jeff Gonzales).
Wortham (254-765-3095) – Place 3 (Brent Jones) and Place 4 (Sam Wright).
Dew – Dew ISD holds elections in November
–City Councilmen/Aldermen Open Positions
Fairfield (903-389-2633) – Place 3 (Keith Daniels), Place 4 (Landis Bayless), and Place 5 (Jason Bosley).
Teague (254-739-2547) – Place 2 (Ron Rasbeary), Place 4 (Chris Nickleberry), and Place 5 (Marilyn Michaud).
Wortham (254-765-3319) – Mayor Rodney Price and 2 Places at Large (Cliff NeSmith and 1 vacancy).
Streetman (903-599-2567) – Next election in 2020
Freestone County school districts and Cities will be holding elections on May 4, 2019.
