WINNING ANGLER OF THE YEAR 2026 in the Texas High School Bass Association is Fairfield High School’s fishing team, consisting of Landon Morrison and Michael Zachry.
The boys took First Place in the tournament, sponsored by Academy Sports & Outdoors, held at Lake Tyler on Saturday, June 27. Their 3-fish limit had a bag total of 19.69 pounds.
For their achievement, they received a $2,000 gift card to Academy.
There were 98 boats from across Texas competing in the tournament.
The pair had a wonderful year with this perfect ending to a great season.
