Danny Brice Willard, 76, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at his home in Fairfield, Texas.

Dan was born on March 28, 1950 to Evelyn Bessie (Emmons) and Bert Willard of Fairfield.

He was a 1969 graduate of Fairfield High School.

As a young boy, Dan learned mental math from his uncle, Eston Emmons. Then, spent almost his entire career as a night bank teller in Houston, Texas.

Following retirement, Dan made his home on the family property close to his favorite deer stand, eventually harvesting a beauty to grace his wall.

Dan enjoyed collecting Texaco memorabilia, watching the wildlife cameras, and keeping up with friends and family on social media.

He had a great love for all of his nieces and nephews.

Dan B. Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Bert Willard; his brother, Don S. Willard; nephew, Bryan H. Willard; and niece, Denise (Willard) Kingham. 

Dan is survived by his sister, Gloria (Willard) Smith, and brother, Irvin B. Willard, as well as several nieces and nephews, and his canine companion, Buddy.

Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
