Area families will have two exciting events to enjoy this Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield as the Christmas season continues.
Calvary’s adult choir will perform ‘Noel: Born Is The King’ during the morning worship and will feature special arrangements of your favorite Christmas songs. Included in the musical will be ‘The First Noel’, ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’, ‘He Has Come for Us’, ‘Mary Was the First One to Carry the Gospel’, ‘What Child Is This’, ‘Angels From the Realms of Glory’, ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’, ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’, ‘Noel’, ‘O Holy Night!’, and ‘The King of Who I Am’.
A special presentation of ‘The Star’ will be shown at 5:30 pm in the church’s sanctuary. This animated story of the first Christmas is a film that all of the family will enjoy. A small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day, he finds the courage to break free, embarking on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a lovable sheep who has lost her flock, and Dave, a dove who has lofty aspirations. Along with three camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the ‘Star’ and become accidental heroes of the greatest story ever told-the very first Christmas.
“Months of practice will come together this Sunday for a great performance by our adult choir and ‘The Star’ will be a special time for families to spend together with their children,” Calvary’s Music and Education Minister Shelby Race stated. “Visitors are always welcomed at Calvary and those attended these events are sure to receive a special blessing this Christmas season. Make plans now to attend this coming Sunday and bring your entire family and invite friends to attend both with you.”
Calvary’s Sunday morning worship service will begin at 10:45 am, December 19th and feature their adult choir. The animated movie ‘The Star’ will begin at 5:30 pm this Sunday.
