Fairfield Rotary Club had as their guest at the July 9th meeting RYLA Campers David Thomas and Kendal Crawford, along with Rotary Interact and Club Treasurer Angela Oglesbee and Club President, Josh Bayless.

RYLA is a leadership training and education program for youth who are currently in 10th or 11th grade. Sponsored by District 5870 with the Rotary Club of Fairfield participating for over ten years, those selected to participate in RYLA spent time June 30 to July 5th, 2019 at McKinney Roughs Nature Park, near Bastrop, TX,  where they took park in fun group activities and heard interesting presentations with other young people sponsored by Rotary Clubs throughout Central Texas.

RYLA participants receive training from successful professionals, with special emphasis on leadership and the importance of ethics and community service.  They often are or become leaders in their schools and communities and in their professional pursuits.
