Wortham played in Fairfield on Thursday and Saturday in the Fairfield Volleyball Tournament.  Wortham had a home game on Friday against Valley Mills.

Riley Winstead has been out with her ankle and hopefully will return this week.  Freshman Ava Carr stepped up to play in Riley’s place and did an outstanding job.

We lost to Valley Mills Friday in three sets: 15-25, 15-25, amd 27-29.

Dakota Butler had 8 kills and 4 digs.

Madison Newhouse had 7 kills and 3 digs.

RaShay Covey had 7 kills and 2 digs.

Freshman Ava Carr had one kill.

Setter Allie McCoslin had 12 assists and 5 digs.

Setter Ana Colquette had 11 assists and 2 digs.

Libero Grace McCoslin had 11 digs.

Ameeya Rhodes had 4 digs.

Bre Kennedy had 2 digs and Braidee Taylor had one dig.

Wortham played pool play on Thursday and lost to Fairfield and Corsicana and then beat Hearne and Rice.  Wortham ended up in third in pool play and then played the third place team in the other bracket which was Ennis.

Saturday finished up losing to Anderson Shiro in three sets (Won the first set 25-23, lost 18-25 and 23-25) and then losing to Ennis in two sets 24 to 26 and 18 to 25.
