The Wortham Lady Bulldogs opened their 2022 season with a home game against Mexia. The Lady Bulldogs swept the Mexia Lady Cats 25-12, 25-11, 25-8.

Riley Winstead led the offense with 10 kills and one block.

RaShay Covey had 6 kills and one dig.

Dakota Butler had 5 kills and 2 digs.

Madison Newhouse had 4 kills and 7 digs.

Bre Kennedy had 3 kills and one dig.

Braidee Taylor had 2 kills and one dig.

Senior setter Allie McCoslin had 12 assists, 7 digs, and one ace. Setter Ana Colquette had 10 assists, 2 digs, and one ace.

Libero Grace McCoslin had a solid passing game in serve receive and had 6 digs. Defense specialist Ameeya Rhodes had 6 digs.

The Wortham Lady Bulldogs will attend the Fairfield Volleyball tournament this coming Thursday and Saturday and they will have an upcoming home game this Friday, August 12th against Valley Mills.
