Wortham FFA Hosts Inaugural Pond Hop on Saturday, March 23rd

Wortham FFA is hosting its First Annual Pond Hop on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Wortham City Park.

Entry is $40 per 2-person team.

Weigh-In is at 1:00 p.m.

Prizes will go to Largest Single Fish, Heaviest 3 Fish, and Longest Stringer.

Any species of fish counts. Only 3 fish per team will be weighed.

You can fish your own tanks, but no public lakes. All fish must be caught with a fishing pole. No trotlines allowed.

Following the fish weigh-in there will be a Cornhole competition. There is a $30 entry fee; and the top three will receive an award.

Wortham Bulldog Beefstro BBQ Team will be selling Chopped BBQ Sandwich Plates for $10 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

All proceeds from this event benefit Wortham FFA kids for contest entries, travel expenses and the FFA banquet.
