Warehouse Living Arts Center (WLAC) of Corsicana is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of Silent Sky, a captivating play by renowned playwright Lauren Gunderson. The production, under the skilled direction of Jake Wade, will take place in the unique setting of the Cook Center Planetarium on the Navarro College campus March 14 through the 17.

 

Silent Sky tells the inspiring true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt, played by Brett Butler, whose groundbreaking discoveries in the early 20th century changed our understanding of the cosmos. The play explores themes of discovery, love, and the pursuit of knowledge against the backdrop of the vast universe.

 

Rounding out the rest of this talented cast are Ashley Holmes as Margaret Leavitt, Todd Jones as Peter Shaw, Paula Amundson as Annie Cannon , and Haven Powers as Williamina Fleming.

 

Performances will be held on March 14, 15, and 16 at 7:00 pm, with a Sunday matinee on March 17 at 2:30 pm. The Cook Center Planetarium provides a one-of-a-kind immersive experience, adding an extra layer of depth to Gunderson’s beautifully crafted narrative.
