On Friday, October 9, the Wortham Varsity Band honored some of their band members for their hard work during the week and their Band Sweetheart and Beau for Homecoming.
Before the varsity football game, the annual Homecoming activities included recognizing the elected Band Sweetheart, Grecia Juarez, and the Band Beau, Ben Havens. Grecia is a sophomore, and Ben is a Senior and Drumline Captain.
During the halftime activities, the band member of the week, Tristan Schamp, and the section of the week, the tubas (at top), were announced. The tuba members include Travis Laminack, Hayden Boles, and Lily Jones.
The band’s next performance will be Wednesday, October 21, at 6:00 pm during the varsity football game in Wortham. The band would like to thank the community for their continued support of the Bulldog Band! The Wortham Varsity Band is under the direction of Kevin Russell.
