Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) and Associates of VVA (AVVA) Chapter 991 in Palestine are announcing their Scholarship Program for awards to be applied for the Fall 2023 semester. The Chapter will be awarding a minimum of one scholarship with a value of $1,000.
Although all qualified Applicants will be considered, the emphasis on the awards will be for students graduating this summer. Awards will be for continuing College or University degrees or advanced technical certifications. Applications must be delivered to the Scholarship Committee, or post marked no later than Saturday, April 15, 2023.
The primary qualification for award is that the Applicant must be a descendant of a Vietnam War Veteran, or a Vietnam War Era Veteran, who is living in the VVA Chapter 991 service area, or, if deceased, was living in the service area while alive.
The Chapter 991 service area includes the following Texas Counties: Anderson, Cherokee, Houston, Henderson, Freestone, Limestone, and Leon.
