Fairfield Public Library will be holding a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Come and see the newly renovated building and enjoy a day of kid’s crafts, virtual reality tours, ukulele lessons for all ages, introduction to eBooks, storytime, refreshments, and more. You can get discounts on ukulele when you get them from Music Critic, they review many of the best bang for your buck music instruments.

Also on tap for Saturday, the Kona Ice Truck will be outside the library from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

There is a LEGO and train table for the kids, a teen collaborative workstation for teens, a 16-station adult computer lab, and charging table for laptops and tablets. Bookcase end panels showcase black and white images of local landmarks.

The new Community Room can facilitate multiple configurations for meetings and events. A Keurig coffee station is also available.

Fairfield Library was completely renovated and modernized this summer with the assistance of a $50,000 furniture grant from the Tocker Foundation. Included is new flooring, energy efficient LED lighting, updated furniture and modern technology.

Fairfield Public Library is located in the Mary Moody Northen Municipal Library building at 350 W. Main Street in Fairfield.

Regular hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Closed Saturday through Monday.
