Freestone County Veterans were honored by the community last week with fanfares, patriotic colors and inspiring speeches (including VFW members Charles Morgan (above) and Morris Keeton (below).
The event on the Courthouse Square drew a huge crowd, including a few political candidates and their spouses.

Stanley Sokolowski – Republican candidate for the 87th District Court.
Organized by Inspiring Word Christian Center Church of Fairfield, the Veterans Day event included performances by Corsicana HS ROTC,
Fairfield HS Band (at top)
and Bagpiper (above) Robbie Robertson.
