With the first day of Spring officially passed, and temperatures warming up, the hard-working ambassadors of Fairfield Chamber of Commerce met last week to get the “skinny” on upcoming community events.

Finishing up the month of March is the “Lucky to Have Local” contest.  Be sure to gather your receipts from shopping at local businesses and bring them to the Chamber office by March 31st.

Three lucky winners will be drawn on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

This Friday, March 26th will be the monthly digital marketing class, held noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Chamber office.  Instagram Basics will be the topic presented by Kim Devine of Uplight Digital Marketing.

Fairfield area businesses and organizations are encouraged to join this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza to hand out candy, eggs and goodies to local children.  The event will be held 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 3rd at the Freestone County Courthouse.

Downtown retailers are hosting a Mimosa Morning on Saturday, April 17th.  Stop by for a sip while you shop local.

A Spring City Wide Garage Sale will be held that same Saturday, April 17th.  There is no fee for this event, hosted by the City of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber.  Contact the Chamber to add your garage sale to the list.

Then, from April 19-24, 2021, stop by Fairfield City Hall and get a pass to enter the City Dump for free.  This is a great time to get rid of unwanted junk.

Another monthly digital marketing class will be held at noon on Friday, April 30th.  Topic will be using #hashtags.

Lemonade Day will be held on Saturday, May 1st.  This is a program for young entrepreneurs.  Come out and support these students as they compete with their own small businesses.

Bobby Flores / The Yellow Rose Band will be filling the Twisted Vines Event Center with Boot Scootin’ music on Saturday evening, May 1st.  Visit TrinityStarArtsCouncil.org for ticket information.

May 21st will be the annual fundraising Gala for Fairfield ISD Education Foundation at Twisted Vines Event Center.  Stay tuned for details.

Building Professional Graphics will be the topic for the May 28th digital marketing class.
