He has performed all over the U.S. and abroad, with several CD’s to his credit.  His education includes studies at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, New England Conservatory and a BMA degree from Curtis Institute of Music.  Mr. Drachman resides in Maryland with his wife Joan and their two sons, Eli and Oliver.

Richard Dowling, Pianist, appears regularly all across the U.S. and periodically at outstanding venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, performing solo recitals and concerts with orchestras. He is a versatile recording artist with over a dozen CD’s of classical, ragtime, jazz and popular music styles. His latest offering was the complete works of Ragtime King Scott Joplin, a collection of over 50 pieces. Reviewers describe him as “a musician with something to say, the skill to say it and the magnetic power to make you want to listen.” Mr. Dowling studied at Yale University and the University of Texas.

For almost 30 years, The Piatigorsky Foundation has combined artistic excellence and public outreach to create concerts that appeal to diverse audiences in communities all over the United States.  Its mission is to increase awareness and appreciation of classical music.  Evan Drachman established the foundation in 1990 in honor of his grandfather Gregor Piatigorsky, who deeply believed in the healing and inspirational power of classical music.  He once said, “Music makes life better. Music is a necessity.  It is rich…imaginative…magnificent.  And it is for everyone.”

The Evan Drachman – Richard Dowling Concert will be held at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 515 FM 416, St. Elmo, Texas, on December 8, 2017, at 6:30 P.M.  Everyone is welcome.  For more information please visit www.trinitystarartscouncil.org.
