Just in time for Thanksgiving holiday, the Student Council from Teague High School presented a $786.00 check to members of Freestone Cancer Support Group.
The money was raised during the students’ ‘Give Cancer the Boot’ fundraiser.
Thankful for the donation are FCSG members Linda Steen, Stacii Lane and Spain Trask.
FCSG provides travel funds for cancer survivors during their treatment, giving money for food, fuel and boarding if needed.
Cancer patients living in Freestone County have to travel out of town for chemo, radiation or surgery treatments.
Thanks, to all who supported the student-led fundraiser.

2023-24 Student Council Officers include (in no particular order): Anayeli Bailon, Natalie Gomez, E’Leyshia Roblow, Omar Perez, Ellie Mathison, Yaneli Diaz, Kenady Morris and Landon Evans.
Also on hand for the presentation are Student Council members Miley Steen, Taylor Hamilton, and Dylan Alderman.
