It appears that voters have decided that ‘Getting Teague Back on Track’ is the order of the day, as election results posted this evening show Jerry Ballew, Bridget Gauntt, and Timothy Campbell winning over their ‘Teague Team for Responsible Government’ opponents.
Here are the results posted by the Freestone County Election Administrator for the City of Teague election:

231 – Jerry Ballew
167 – Sara Trevino

256 – Bridget Gauntt
144 – Jamie West
Alderman Place 5
233 – Timothy Campbell
166 – Asa Scott Adami
Jerry Ballew is a former Teague Alderman who lost his Place 1 position to Alderman Garlan Steed in 2022. Ballew is set to take over Place 2 from Alderman Rhonda Jones, who declined to run for re-election.
Bridget Gauntt looks to take over Place 4 from incumbent Jamie West. West was appointed to that position in January when Chris Nickleberry stepped down.
Timothy Campbell is set to take over Place 5 for Alderman Ryan Mathison, who declined to run for re-election.
With a matter of just a couple votes, City of Wortham votes chose to return one incumbent and one new candidate to serve on City Council.
Two at-large City Council positions were at stake with four hopefuls in the running. The top two contestants were Councilman Scott Batts and Candidate Patrick Evans.

No word at press time whether a recount will be requested in this race.
Mayor Pellie Goolsby ran unopposed and will return to her position.
Freestone County voters of Fairfield ISD School Board cast their ballots to return their incumbents to the Board of Trustees.
Two at-large positions were sought by four candidates. Unofficial results are as follows:
517 – Kevin Benedict
460 – John T. Fryer
205 – Cleo McElroy
150 – Toni Abram
Currently, Benedict serves as Board President and Fryer serves as Vice-President.
Finally, Wortham ISD School Board had three places up for election this year, with only Place 6 with opposing candidates.

88 – Brett Duke
Place 7
104 – Jeff Jones (incumbent)
Candidate Brett Duke looks to take over for Place 6 Board member Russell Black, who declined to run for re-election.
Elections results listed include Absentee ballots, as well as ballots received during Early Voting and on Election Day. They were filed around 8:30 p.m. by Freestone County Election Administrator Renee McBay.
