With the growth opportunities associated with this historic railroad, and two expansive depot complexes, the railroad chose to increase local management with two dynamic and enthusiast team members. Texas State Railroad of Palestine, Texas is proud to introduce these valuable additions to their Texas team: Daniel Adair, general manager of excursion operations and guest experiences, and Jennifer Price, sales and marketing associate.
Adair’s main responsibility will be to assure that the guest experience, from the first phone call to stepping off the train at the end of the journey, is positive and rewarding for all visitors. Price’s main responsibility will be communications and outreach with all lodgings, visitor centers and tourism associates throughout the great state of Texas.
“Daniel comes to Texas via St. Croix in the Virgin Islands, but his roots are based in small town tourism, having lived much of his life in Park City, Utah,” said Bruce Carswell, vice president and chief operating officer for The Western Group. “We are confident that Daniel’s commitment to customer satisfaction and knowledge of both retail and food service will contribute to the goal of making Texas State Railroad a premier vacation destination,” added Carswell.
“Jennifer has lived most of her life in East Texas and brings with her a passion for all of the amazing activities to do and the places to see here,” commented Teresa Propeck, vice president of marketing. “We are very impressed with her enthusiasm and varied levels of experience with special events, outdoor activities and creating ‘fun’ for people. Jennifer will be a strong asset to the Texas State Railroad marketing team,” said Propeck.
