Memorial graveside services for Teddie Cobb will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Dew Cemetery in Dew. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.

There will be no visitation.

Teddie Lee Cobb, 85, of Lanely, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Fairfield Nursing & Rehab with his great-nephew, Scooter Wright by his side.

Teddie was born on June 22, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to parents Lewis Cobb and Velma Simmons Cobb. He grew up in Dallas, and joined the U.S. Navy in May of 1956. He served in Brunswick, Georgia until he was honorably discharged in March 1962 after 6 six years of service. He then moved back to Dallas and he married his wife Helen Cobb, and they moved to Kansas where he was a farmer and a welder. They later moved back to Texas and lived in Cleburne until Helen’s passing in May of 2004. They shared 41 years of marriage. Teddie later retired from a welding shop in Burleson and moved to Freestone County to live on the farm with his sister and brother-in-law, Ann & A.J. Lewis. Teddie enjoyed raising cattle, pigs and other farm animals, hunting and fishing. Teddie never remarried.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Cobb; his father, Lewis Cobb, Sr.; his mother, Velma Simmons Cobb; sister, Ann Cobb Lewis of Lanely; brother, James Cobb of Dallas; sister, Ruth Cobb of Houston; his grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Teddie is survived by his brother, Lewis Cobb, Jr. of Lanely; two sisters, Patsy Stewart and Shirley Dover both of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; who he loved all.
