Teague Police, while patrolling the 200 block of Jackson Street, recognized a reported stolen vehicle. The officer, after recognizing the vehicle as possibly being stolen, began to turn around to investigate. The vehicle, however, left the area before the officer was able to check out on it. The officer continued searching and ultimately located the vehicle at Freestone Mobile Home Rentals (in the 1000 block of US Highway 84 West), a short time later. The officer confirmed the vehicle as being stolen out of Corsicana, Texas. The vehicle was recovered, and the owner will be notified of the recovery. The suspect left the area before the officer was able to apprehend them.
The officer has received information about the person possessing the stolen vehicle and is working to hold them accountable for the crime.
Great Job by our vigilant patrol officers!

The fugitive is wanted for 2 felony warrants: Motion to Adjudicate Credit/Debit Card Abuse and Motion to Adjudicate Possession of Controlled Substance Less than 1g. Officers went to a residence in the 300 block of Pecan and attempted to execute the warrants.

The “tour” lasted for about two and a half blocks, where the fugitive was apprehended by officers. The fugitive was transported and booked into the Freestone County Jail with an additional charge of Evading Arrest or Detention, a misdemeanor offense.
