[Sunday] morning, around 4:45 hours, an on duty Teague Police Officer was involved in a head on traffic collision on US HWY 84 West, near the Home Place RV site.

The roadway was closed down for several hours while Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated the Crash. The Officer and a single passenger were both transported to medical centers for treatment. Our Officer was release a short time later, we have not been informed of the status of the other driver. The roadway has been reopened for normal traffic, after necessary scene details were obtained.

Texas Department of Public Safety is still investigating the matter and will complete their crash investigation report in the coming weeks.

No other details available for release at this time.
