Teague man, Jalynn Leon Dunn (26), who was charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child – Family Violence (1st Degree Felony) and one count of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact (2nd Degree Felony), has taken a plea bargain in his case.
Dunn, formerly a Teague Volunteer Fireman, was arrested in September of last year following an investigation by Teague Police Department on accusations of sexual assault of a thirteen year old female family member.
He was booked into Freestone County Jail on a $50,000 bond; and is not allowed to have any communication or contact with the victim.
During the Arraignment Hearing, Dunn was formally charged by the court; and pled ‘not guilty’ to both charges, however, in exchange for a guilty plea to two counts of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact (2nd Degree Felonies), Dunn received: 10 years deferred probation; $1,000 fine; $343 court costs; 170 days in jail as a condition of probation; $500 attorney fees; 150 hours of community service; and must register as a sex offender.
Defense Attorney on this matter was Steve A. Keathley.
