Teague Chamber of Commerce put the spotlight on four outstanding students during an intimate banquet held in their honor last week.

Proud family members were included for the occasion as each campus representative introduced their Student of the Year.

Earning Student of the Year at Teague Elementary is Gabriela Deanda Roblero.

“Gaby is an awesome student!” said Principal Crystal Adams. “She comes to school everyday with a smile on her face ready to tackle anything thrown her way.”

Awarded Student of the Year at Teague Junior High is Hadley Long.

“How she packs it all in, I don’t know!” said Principal Laura Jones, while listing Hadley’s many activities and accomplishments for the year.

Presented with the Student of the Year award for Teague Lion Academy is Aly Arrezola.

Described as having a sweet loving heart, Prinicpal Virginia Self complimented Aly’s hard work that allowed her to finish her junior and senior requirements at mid-term.

Receving Student of the year for Teague High School is Miriam Diaz.

“I’m sure she will be very successful,” said Principal Monte Shields, who shared that Miriam had impressed him with how she conducted herself during a recent Student Council convention.

Teague Mayor David Huffman took a few moments to congratulate the students.

President Sanoja closed the event by thanking the community for supporting the Chamber. She also announced that next year would include a more formal banquet with the return of Business and Community awards.
