The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Beef and Forage Committees in Limestone and McLennan Counties will be hosting a Spring Forage Field Day on Friday, May 12th, 2017 near Waco on the Ronnie McGregor Field.   Registration for this program will begin in the field at 7:30 am.  The program will start at 8 am in the field. RSVP’s are required by May 8th to the McLennan County Extension Office at (254)757-5180.

Matthew Machacek, Rangeland Specialist, USDA/NRCS will discuss Adaptive Grazing Management.  We will then begin our concurrent sessions with local agriculture equipment vendors.  Participants will be able to view equipment and listen to the services provided from Tipton International, Brazos Valley Equipment, HOLT AgriBusiness, RDO Equipment.  The field day will then adjourn to move to our last speaker and lunch location at Timber Crest Baptist Church.  The final speaker will be Dr. Vanessa Corriher-Olson, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Forage Specialist.  Cost for the program is $10 per person.

Persons with an applicator license attending the entire event will received a total of 2 general CEU’s at the conclusion of the event.

From Hwy 6/E. Loop 340 Intersection East of Waco, drive South .5 miles on E. Loop 340.  The gate entrance is right off E. Loop 340 on the East side of the road.
