Update:  Resignation letter from former Fairfield City Administrator Nate Smith has been accepted with a unanimous vote by Council Members. Details in this week’s print edition, on newsstands tomorrow evening.

 

The City of Fairfield has posted a notice for a Special Called meeting at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 6, 2023 for discussion and possible action on the resignation of City Administrator Nate Smith, and approval of a separation agreement.

Meeting will be held at the Green Barn / Civic Center at 839 E. Commerce Street in Fairfield.

A visitors and citizens forum is also on the agenda to allow any person (not already scheduled on the meeting agenda) to speak with the Council.

NO formal action can be taken on items from the visitors and citizens forum during this particular meeting.

Smith was on the agenda earlier this week during a Special Called meeting of the Fairfield City Council held Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

The agenda item was for a closed Executive Session for “Personnel – Deliberation the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of public officer or employee.”
