In light of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the annual memorial services for Shanks Cemetery which is usually held on the first Saturday of June has been canceled this year.
Those having relatives and friends buried in the cemetery or anyone wishing to donate to the Shanks Cemetery Association may do so by sending your donations to Shanks Cemetery Association, attention Wanda Smith, Treasurer, P.O. Box 1073, Fairfield, TX, 75840.
Donations are necessary for the continued maintenance of the cemetery and are greatly appreciated.
