Ryan Jacob Gates passed away at Baylor Scott and White in Waco Saturday morning, June 15, 2019.
Ryan was born January 2, 1996 in Conroe to Bobby and Debra Gates.
He enjoyed hunting, riding horses and riding jet skis. Ryan enjoyed life.
Ryan loved spending time with his family, playing with his nieces and nephews. He liked playing football with his nephews and hiding Easter eggs for his nieces and nephews each year to hunt.
He was a good welder and a good mechanic. He also served on the Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Department.
Ryan is preceded in death by his mother, Debra; Grandparents, Bobby Merle Gates Sr., Jeanie Gates, David McAllister, Jewel and Sandra Warren.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Casandra Gates; parents, Bobby and Vickie Gates; Grandmother, Gussie Wells; mother in law and father in law, MariJo and James Purkerson; brothers and sisters, Krystina Lynn Cummins and husband Kenneth Lee, William Joseph Gates and wife Monica, Kyle Wayne Gates, Kara Renee Gates, Winters Dawn McDaniel, Wade Rome McDaniel, Moriah Lea Munoz and husband Diego, Derrick O’Dell McDaniel, Ashley Skinner, Jennifer Skinner, Pamela and James Masterson. Numerous nieces and nephews. Aunts and Uncles, David Bryan and Dianh McAllister, Marlene Gates, Jackie and Elaine Chance, Jeane Fay, Brenda Louise Finley, Dale and Laura Bradford Dale, Billy and Sharon Finely, Sue Hogan, Lisa and Jeff Dutchsky and Herman Robinson.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, June 21, 2019 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Bubba Rutherford officiating.
Burial will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Austin McRorie, Justin Gates, Timothy Stowe, Kyle Gates, William Gates, Jason Fay.
Honorary Kenneth Cummins, Billy Kent, Jason Price.
