Robert Odell Daniel, 78, of Fairfield, passed away on July 3, 2022, in Fairfield, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 7th at First United Methodist Church Fairfield with the Rev. Mark Woodward of FUMC, officiating.

Bobby was born in Fairfield, TX to Louise & Jennings Bryan Daniel on November 5, 1943. Upon graduation from Fairfield High School, he went on to the University of North Texas. There he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and graduated with a degree in business. Following college he married Stacy Hoffman on April 19, 1969, in Midland, TX. In 1972, Bobby moved his family back to his hometown of Fairfield and began operating his own oilfield service business, but his lifetime passion was in ranching. He raised registered Angus cattle and sold his livestock all over Texas and the United States. Bobby also served several terms on the Texas Angus Association Board of Directors, and on the Board of the Beef Development Center of Texas. One of his proudest achievements was being inducted into the Texas Angus Association Hall of Fame in 2016.

Bobby will be remembered by his fine cooking, which required no recipe, always accompanied by a glass of wine, and a sink full of dirty dishes. He was one that was always dressed to impress, even if it was just to watch his Lady Eagle basketball team. Bobby loved to travel, never met a stranger along the way, and had a nickname for everyone he encountered. He had countless friends all over the U.S. and always greeted them with a smile and a “Hey buddy!”. One of his favorite trips was venturing north in his Casita every summer to escape the heat, take in the beauty as he drove, enjoy the cool mountain air, and perhaps indulge on a glass of nice scotch and a cigar. “Granbobs”, as many knew him, loved his dogs, his ranch, and most of all his family. He would often say, “I’m living the life, and dreaming the dream.”

Bobby is preceded in death by Jennings Bryan Daniel (Father), Louise “Sally” Daniel (Mother), Sonny Daniel (Brother), Mary Nell (Sister), Stacy Hoffman (Wife), Eloise and Norman Hoffman (In-Laws), Bettie Jane Daniel (cousin).

Bobby is survived by his children and spouses: Ashlee and Rod Daniel, Demar and Fred Hill, Carie and Matt Judson. Siblings: Barbara and Dr. Edward Daniel, Jesse and Billy Paul Daniel. Grandchildren: Sarie and Tyler Hurst, Mason, Cash, and Jake Daniel, Emmie Hill, Charlie and Calame Judson. Great-Granddaughter: Tatum Hurst. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be as follows: David Bearden, Fred Hill, Syd Ivy, Matt Judson, Ken Maddox, and Burt Richards.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Fairfield.

After the service the family have a reception at The Venue at G Bar Ranch, 109 FM 833, FF 75840.
