After 39 years in education, and 10 years as a superintendent, Darrell Evans, Dew ISD Superintendent of Schools, informed the Board of Trustees of his plans to retire at the end of this school year.

Mr. Evans has been Dew ISD Superintendent for the past 9 years. Before coming to Dew, he served as Superintendent at Bosqueville ISD.

“I want to thank the board of Trustees, our staff, and our community for the trust they have placed in me for the past nine years. Together we have advanced the mission of our district and potential for our students – of course, it didn’t come without challenges along the way,” says Evans. “During my time here, we have successfully navigated a path filled with ample challenges. Dew ISD has proven to be a resilient school district, and I’m proud of what we have accomplished together. I feel very positive about the future at Dew ISD!”

Mr. Evans’ spouse, Mrs. Nadine Evans, will also be retiring at the end of the school year. She has been a Special Education teacher for many years, serving the students of central Texas.

The Evans plan on travelling and spoiling their grandchildren during their retirement.
