Looking out the kitchen window this afternoon, I saw such a cute little picture. There were about eight, all sizes, calves lying down in the Northeast Pasture. I looked again because I saw something that confused me. Surrounding the calves was a ring of egrets and it looked so pretty, I could hardly take my eyes away. Suddenly, the calves jumped up and when they did, the Egrets left flying away. Wish I had a picture of it.
Stoneshire and SOS have been fighting a lot lately. It came to an end on Sunday when I saw Stoneshire walking and calling for SOS (who was nowhere around). They were out in the open while fighting so we didn’t have to worry about a fence being torn down.
The calves are fighting among themselves. Probably because they see the bulls fighting and they are learning how to do it. Animals are so much fun to watch. They always amaze me.
