It appears the Red Oak Ranch is being looked over as a possible place for a home. Approximately two weeks ago, I saw a beautiful red fox running across the Northeast Pasture. He seemed to be looking up the hill at the house and did not appear to be scared of anything.

This past week, Tasha, our only Beagle since MO died, was in the front yard scouring every inch of it as she has been doing since his death. When out of nowhere the red fox appeared again. He was on the outside of the fence while she was on the inside. When she first saw the fox, she bayed and took off running the fence line with him. I was surprised that she could keep up with him because when I first saw him his legs didn’t appear to be able to let him really run a mile in four minutes!

However, this race was given to the red fox, mainly because he was out in the open and she had the yard fence keeping her from giving it her all. This red fox is a great addition to our Red Oak family.
