The Leon County office of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct a Private Pesticide Applicator Training on Tuesday, October 31. The training will be held in the Grand Room at the Leon County Extension Office, located on the third floor of Annex I at 113 West Main Street in Centerville.

A registration fee of $60.00 will cover your training materials for the morning. The training will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by noon.

No testing will be conducted at this educational event. No CEUs will be offered at this program.

This training is designed for those farm and ranch operators who do not have a Private Applicators License to purchase “restricted use” pesticides (such as 2,4-D, Grazon P+D, Tordon 22K, etc.).

This training is a pre-requisite to take the test to receive a chemical applicators license issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Those wishing to participate in this training need to RSVP with the Leon County Extension Office by Friday, October 27. RSVP can be done by calling 903-536-2531 or by coming by the Leon County Extension Office, located on the third floor of Leon County Annex I at 113 West Main Street in Centerville.
