Priscilla Martin, (but you’d better call her Peggy) passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. She was 84 years young.

Priscilla was born June 7, 1941, to Sylvester Anthony Anderwald and Virginia Flanary in Bandera, Texas. She completed up to 11th grade in school before dropping out to marry the love of her life Frank and raise their 2 children.

Cilla was the ultimate homemaker and always kept the home spotless, and I’m pretty sure she is the only person I know who could fold a fitted sheet.

Nana was a force to be reckoned with, but she loved her family with all her heart and took care of us all until her last day. In fact, she not only raised her own two kids, but also played a major part in raising her grands and great-grands as well. (She was still raising us even though we’re all well into adulthood).

Cilla was the best cook and loved to have her family over for every holiday and birthday. She made us all feel special. Every trip to Nana’s was like a trip to Walmart – you always left with a few things you needed, a lot of things you didn’t need and of course, a snack.

She certainly was the fearless leader of the Martin family “Wolf pack” and will be deeply missed by us all.

Nana was preceded in death by her parents, her dear husband Frank, and her granddaughter Amy Dean.

Left to cherish her memory are: her son Randy and wife Gina, daughter Gayle Dean, granddaughters Kasi Huck and husband John, Kortni Martin, great grands Zadie, Cameron, Brayden, Kinzi, Rowdy and Kaili.

Rest now, sweet Cilla.

I love you, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.

Visitation will be this Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield, Texas.

Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
