Primary Elections were held in Freestone County on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

A total of 3,341 voters voiced their opinions in this year’s Primary; 2,986 voted Republican and 355 voted Democratic.

Only one race developed on the County level, that of Constable, Pct. 2 in the Republican Primary, resulting in newcomer Jake Fitch ousting Incumbent Dan Ramsey. Fitch will be running unopposed in the November election, as there was no candidate on the Democratic ticket.

At press time, no ‘Official’ results were posted. Counts must first be certified in Commissioners Court during the next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
