The Fairfield One Stop Recycle Drop will on Friday, November 20, 2020 and Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at 615 Post Oak, between Hwy 84 and Fairfield High School.

Medication Disposal: Fairfield Police Department officers will accept medications for responsible disposal. Unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medication is accepted. No liquids or needles.

Textiles: Clothing, coats, shoes, towels, sheets, blankets, etc. All items must be clean and dry. Items in good, reusable condition are donated to families in need in Freestone County. Items no longer usable are recycled to benefit the Fairfield Fire Department.

Electronics: URT will accept IT electronics for recycling. URT clears all personal information to DOD standards. Acceptable items include: computers, monitors and all accessories, printers, ink cartridges, small copy/fax machines, cell phones, internet wires, cables, TVs, and power cords. **CRT TVs and CRT monitors – limit of two per household. For a complete list of acceptable and not acceptable items please look on FISD website.

Batteries: Batteries Plus Bulbs will accept NiCd, NiMH, lead, lithium ion batteries and batteries of AC/DC equipment. This includes car batteries.

Eyeglasses: Prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, reading glasses, glasses frames and accessories will be accepted for donation to the Fairfield Lions Club.

Acceptable Items for Monthly Recycling:

–Paper Products: All Newspaper, catalogs, magazines, junk mail, shredded paper, cardboard & office/household mixed paper. Please do not include confidential paperwork unless you have properly shredded.

–Plastic: All plastic numbered one through seven such as water bottles, milk jugs, etc.

–Metal: All metal food and beverage cans can be recycled. Food cans should be rinsed.

Paper, plastic and cardboard to not need to be separated.

The community recycle event is sponsored as a partnership between the Fairfield ISD Recycle Team, NRG Energy – Limestone Plant, Fairfield Rotary Club, FHS Interact Club, Waste Connections, Fairfield Police Department, the City of Fairfield, and the Fairfield History Club.
