The Angelic Hosts came for Odell Harris on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Parkview Regional Hospital among loving family and devoted friends.

Viewing and Visitation was held Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Salvation Lighthouse Church of God In Christ of Mexia.

Homegoing Celebration was held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Northcrest Church of Christ of Mexia with Pastor Charles Washington, Officiating and Superintendent Charles Beard, Eulogist.

Interment followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hwy 84, in Mexia.

Mr. Harris was born in Tehuacana, Texas to Bozie Harris and Marie Brown Harris.

He attended the Dunbar-Douglass public schools in Mexia.

Odell and Betty Ruth Jones were married on April 19, 1985 in Dallas.

His career of employment included Truck Driver for Youngblood Construction Co, Waco, The Mexia State School Maintenance Dept., and The Mexia Independent School District.

He served as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at Salvation Lighthouse Church of God In Christ under the pastorate of Superintendent Don Manning.

Mr. Harris is survived by:  His beloved wife, Betty Harris; Daughters:  Culetta Beachum and husband, Kelvin, Mexia, Tx; Patricia Gray and husband, Michael, Mexia, Tx; and Shannon Bouye and husband, David, Waco, Tx; Brother: Willie Otis Harris and wife, Claudia, DeSoto, Tx; Sisters:  Evella Smith, Dallas, Tx; and Emma Burks, DeSoto, Tx; Grandchildren: Kevin Beachum, Jr and wife, Jessica, Chandler, AZ; Krystal Beachum, Washington, D.C.; Jacob Beachum, Denison, Tx; Brechelle Beachum, Pineville, LA; Tracia Harris, Mexia, Tx; and Kaiya Harris, Mexia, Tx; Great-Grandchildren: Rhylen Beachum, Kalena Beachum, Jacob Beachum, Jr., and Kelvin Beachum, III; Brothers-In-Law:  Herman Pinkard and wife, Helen, Elgin, OK; Dwain Jones, Jr. and wife, Liduvina, Mexia, Tx; Leon Jones (deceased) and wife, Carolyn; Billy Jones and wife, Glenda, Mexia, Tx; Albert Jones and wife, Florence, Corsicana, Tx; Charles Jones and wife, Annetta, Mexia, Tx;  Sisters-In-Law:  Rosie Gibson and husband, Chester, Mexia, Tx; Brenda Kirven and husband, Johnny, Jr, Coolidge, Tx; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
