Much like October, November 2020 opened with the beginning of a three-week plus drought and produced a much below normal rainfall of 0.82 inch. We had three days with measureable rainfall with a one-day greatest total of 0.47 inch on November 25. Normal rainfall for November is 3.49 inches.
Our rainfall total for the year now stands at 53.77 inches. Normal through November is 38.24 inches. Our normal annual rainfall is 42.41 inches.
With one month remaining in the year, we have exceeded our normal annual rainfall by 11.36 inches and that is with two mini-droughts for the year. We had twenty-two days without rain in October and twenty-four days without rain in November. We had only six days with measureable rainfall in October and November with a total of only 2.28 inches for the two months combined.
Normal rainfall for October and November combined is 8.76 inches.
November temperatures were about normal with highs mostly in the mid 70’s to low 80’s. High temperature for the month was 84 degrees on November 14. We did have one frosty morning on November 16 with a low temperature of 38 degrees.
Looking ahead to December: December is normally our second coldest month of the year with the winter season opening on December 21. We have had snow in the past in December.
Our normal December rainfall is 4.17 inches.
