It was a packed house Tuesday night at Fairfield High School Auditorium as family and friends gathered to support their favorite contestant in the Miss Freestone County Scholarship Pageant 2019.

The stage was set with a Western theme.

Five lovely young women competed for the title of Miss Freestone County 2019: Margo Measles, Eden Daniel, Caitlin Meister, Avi Hughes, and Jera Keithley.

In the Teen division, five young ladies vied for the top spot: Kayden Dallas, Marissa Eppes, Jaysa Smith, Makensy Isaacs, and Madison Barnett.

Miss Texas 2018, Fairfield’s own Madison Fuller, served as emcee for the pageant.

Contestants introduced themselves while showing off their best western wear during the first phase of competition following an opening dance routine.

During wardrobe change, the audience was treated to entertainment by Miss Texas with a ventriloquism routine; a comedy act by Damaya Willis, and several dance routines by The Edge Dance Company.

Next was an optional talent portion that was its own competition, not counting toward the final score. Acts included poems, dancing, twirling, singing, and tumbling.

After more entertainment, the pageant continued with formal wear and contestant interviews. Here, the contestants dazzled the crowd with smiles, sequins, and chiffon.

Finally, the judges were ready to announce their choice of winners.

Caitlin Meister took home the grand title, with Eden Daniel named as first-runner-up.

Jaysa Smith won the crown in the Teen division. First-runner-up went to Makensy Isaacs.

Additional awards given include:

–Top Interview – Eden Daniel and Makensy Isaacs

–Talent Winner – Eden Daniel (song) and Marissa Eppes (tumbling)

–Most Photogenic – Jera Keithley and Jaysa Smith

After the pageant, the queens headed out to the fairgrounds to show off their new crowns.

Congratulations to all these lovely ladies for a job well done!
