It was a packed house Tuesday night at Fairfield High School Auditorium as family and friends gathered to support their favorite contestant in the Miss Freestone County Scholarship Pageant 2018.

The stage was set with as a Passport to the World theme.

Three lovely young women competed for the title of Miss Freestone County 2018 (Above, l-r): Emily Hayes, Emily (Emi) Bonner, and Shalee Watson.

In the Teen division, four young ladies vied for the top spot: (Above, l-r) Kennedee Stroade, Jaysa Smith, Raeanna Burns, and Madison Barnett.

Miss Texas 2017, Morgana Wood (Top, Center), served as emcee for the pageant.

Contestants introduced themselves while showing off their best casual wear during the first phase of competition following an opening dance routine.

During wardrobe change, the audience was treated to entertainment by Miss Texas; Miss Freestone County 2017, Peyton Daniel; Miss Freestone County Teen, Morgan Coleman; Kaleb Hook from Wortham HS, and The Edge Dance Company.

Next was an optional talent portion that was its own competition, not counting toward the final score. Some of the acts included a poem, dancing, and a cheer routine.

After more entertainment, the pageant continued with formal wear and contestant questions. Here, the contestants dazzled the crowd with smiles, sequins, and chiffon.

Finally, the judges were ready to announce their choice of winners.
