The Jonathan Hardin Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution met on Wednesday, September 14th at 10:30 AM at Gibbs Memorial Library in Mexia. This was the first meeting of the 2022-2023 year.
Three new members – Cindy Avery, Judy Muller, and Suzann Leadbetter – were sworn in by Chapter Chaplain Felicia Hancock. Chapter Regent Diane Pullin went over upcoming fall events for the chapter, including a luncheon for veterans in November and Wreaths Across America ceremonies in Freestone and Limestone Counties on December 17th.
Officers and several committee chairs gave their various reports. Donations of copy paper from members were collected to be given to area teachers. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 12:15 p.m.
