Murray Wayne Robinson, 76, of Mexia passed away, peacefully, on April 17, 2021 in Mexia.

Wayne was born on January 23, 1945 in Streetman, Texas to Randall Lewis and Daisy Murphy Robinson.

He began his professional career after high school with the Railroad, an occupation that spanned over thirty years.   Wayne retired from Burlington Northern Railroad as an Engineer.

After retirement, Wayne enjoyed just being at home, after so many years on call and away when duty summoned. Wayne was an avid sports fan, newspaper reader and history buff. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as watching the flowers grow and the birds sing in his yard that he helped Patsy maintain.  Always an organized person, he loved things to be in their place.

He was a member of the Word of Life Family Worship Center.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Randall and Daisy Robinson.

He is survived by his wife Patsy, children, Adrian Robinson and wife Amy of Missouri City, Aaron Robinson and wife Brandi of Raeford, North Carolina, Stephen Schronk and wife Lora of Mexia and Brian Schronk and wife Julie of China Spring, Grandchildren, Beckett, Porter, Emory, Blake, Bristen, Sterling. Lauren and Cody Holt, Shawna Schronk and Jorden, Ashleigh Herr and husband Kyle, Kourtney Mays and Husband Trevor and Anthony Russo, 7 Great Granddaughters and 2 Great Grandsons.  Wayne is further survived by siblings, Bud and Diana Robinson of Streetman, Carolyn and Billie Schick of Fairfield, Kenneth and Angie Robinson of Conroe, Shirley Robinson of Fairfield, Paul and Sandra Robinson of Streetman, Paula Paulk of Waco, Sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Herb Helm of Webster and Brother-in-law, Charles Herron of Mesquite and the Starley Calame Family.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. in Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Randy Ayres will officiate, and the interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.  Kyle Herr, Trevor Mays, Cody Holt, Charles Calame, Kevin Schick, and Brent Cochran will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be his Railroad Family.
