Races have started to form for County positions in the upcoming Republican and Democratic Primary Elections.


Up for election in Freestone County this term include the County Attorney, County Sheriff, Tax-Assessor Collector, County Commissioner (Pct. 1 & 3), and Constables (Pct. 1, 2, 3, & 4).


Those filing to date with Freestone County Republican Chair, Doug Sanford, DVM, include:


–County Commissioner – Pct. 1: Andy Bonner (incumbent)
–County Commissioner – Pct. 3: Lloyd Lynn Lane
–County Commissioner – Pct. 3: Sonoma Adkins
–Constable – Pct. 1: Buck Bonner
–Constable – Pct. 3: LJ McAdams
–Constable – Pct. 3: Ken I Sessions


Officially filing with Freestone County Democratic Chair, Richard O’Dell include:


–Gerald D. Manning – Pct. 1: Commissioner

Republican Chair Sanford reminds everyone that all fifteen Precinct Chair/Judge need to submit applications. Deadline is 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9th.
