The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1191 held its monthly meeting from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Bubbas BBQ in Ennis on Tues., 12 Sept.,  2023.  The guest speaker was Mary Brodie, Admin. Assistant with the Ennis Parks and Recreation Dept. Ms. Brodie has been in Ennis for ten years and has an MS from Texas A&M University.

The speaker discussed the Shade Ennis Tree Campaign, which is in its second year of operation to provide needed shade throughout Ennis public parks.
