Baby New Year is here to share all the exciting plans for next year with The ‘Times’, and said he brought someone special along.

–Baby New Year, it is so great to finally meet you. 2020 is exciting, right?

Oh yes, much excitement. The New Year is so vibrant and full of possibility for just about anything. This is when people make their Resolutions and who is not excited about the prospect of change?

In wanders Father Time himself.

–Wow, Father Time, it is so wonderful to have you joining in our talk about 2020. Are you looking forward to the New Year as well?

I look forward to every, single New Year. Each year we change a little bit; we grow older, wiser, and more understanding of others. New Year’s is the perfect time to remember that.

–What are your plans for the upcoming year, Baby New Year? What should we be anticipating?

2019 was a rough year for many people, so I am making 2020 a more lighthearted year. There will be more laughter, more fun, and even more excitement!

–And Father Time, Do you think these plans are plausible? What do you foresee for the upcoming year?

I have hopes of a happier year as well. It is not just a New Year but it is a New Decade, and who is not excited about that?

–Father Time, you see years go by constantly. What makes this one so great?

Well, I guess none of the fancy, flying cars The Jetsons promised? I was really looking forward to those too.

The truth is, every New Year brings a chance to start over. We get to do better, be better.

–What about you Baby New Year, you see each year anew, what do you think makes this one great?

It is not just this year. It is every year! People ring in the New Year in so many different ways. Some celebrate it with a kiss, some with a glass of champagne; others are with their families while others hang out with their friends. They are excited and looking forward to the New Year.

–Ok Father Time, What is the best part of New Year’s Eve?

Oh it has got to be watching that ball drop four times. People miss the hourly celebrations on New Years; you can celebrate it every hour for twenty-four hours if you want. Once for each time zone as it becomes the New Year there.

–Baby New Year, I can see you want to say something, what is it?

The best part is the sparkly stuff. The gold and silver glitter, hats, and those party favors everyone blows on and the sparklers that you light and then it rains hot glitter. Although, Father Time never lets me hold one. I am a baby and he says I am not yet old enough.

–What about resolutions, Do you have any Father Time?

Resolutions are for breaking, I just promise to keep going forward every year. I never go backwards, and that seems to work pretty well for everyone. Well, at least until everyone breaks their resolution, sometimes they wish they could turn back the clock then. Father Time chuckles rather knowingly

–Any final suggestions for the upcoming year Baby New Year, Does Baby New Year do resolutions?

No resolutions for me, I am too new and fresh to need changing. Except my diaper… that might need some changing and resolutions.
